General information · Not legal advice

General information only. This guide explains common platform processes. It is not legal advice. If ownership is disputed or you want to claim compensation, speak with a lawyer.

Pages change and accounts disappear, sometimes within hours of a report. Capture these before you report anything, and before you contact anyone.

About the copy

  • The exact web address of each page, post, listing or profile. Copy it from the address bar, not a search result.
  • A full-page screenshot with the date and time visible. On desktop, your browser’s developer tools or a full-page capture extension will do this.
  • The account or seller name, and its profile link.
  • Prices, captions and descriptions if it’s a listing or an ad.
  • An archived copy, if the page allows it, using a public web archiving service.

About your original

  • The original file, with its metadata intact
  • Where and when you first published it, with the link
  • Any licence you have granted to others, so we don’t report someone who has permission
  • For brands: your trade mark registration number, if you have one

What not to do

  • Don’t comment publicly on the copy or message the account. It often prompts them to delete evidence or block you.
  • Don’t edit your screenshots. Crop them if you must, but keep an unedited copy as well.
  • Don’t report the same item many times. Duplicate reports can slow a platform’s review.

Once you have these, you can report it yourself through the platform’s form, or send it to us.
